I know you were hoping for some hint of recognition in regard to your post– or a witty retort. And in truth, the “old me” would have tried to give you what i thought you’d want — because, well, yes, I was “codependent.”. But I’m over that now so forget it.
I’m writing to say thar it was only in 2010 that I boyj discovered and simultaneously lost “Michael and Michael”. Now I know you’re going to say “welcome to the party.”. Right? Followed by, How do you think I feel? {I read your bio; I think you feel just fine, actually. And also, congrats as I think I read something about your pending nuptials.
But I digress.
The point is, I was in a car accident in 2009 (I’m fine, OK.). But I got a little distracted. And I know I’m ten years too late. But did they not see the iconic potential of Michael and Michael? Did they not see the show was f-ing brilliant and original — ? Did not one executive at Comedy Central try to fight for the show to give it time to spread the word ? Had you (or MIB) begun to doubt yourself ? So you couldn’t really muster the “chutzpah” to stand up for it in the facd of it losing money or mot meeting expectation.
I know you’re thinking, Claudia.. Move on! I did.
I’m trying Michael. And I’ll get there. But it isn’t merely the loss of the show, but the fact that mediocrity seems to win 9 times out of 10- and it’s a bummer.
